an attending surgeon at the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa, is a fellow in the Surgery Department at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. During his fellowship, Dr. Hazzan will learn the techniques of laparoscopic surgery and the use of minimally invasive techniques. He hopes to return to Israel with the knowledge and ability to establish a program in laparoscopy at his hospital. He is accompanied by his wife and two young children.
